• Who are we ? - Aircraft In Miniature Limited is a small family business which is owned and run by Marion and Neil Gaunt in Warwickshire, England.
• What is unusual about our models ? - We produce 1:72 scale models which are not normally available from other manufacturers.  These models can be:

• Large airliners or transport aircraft (TRANSPORT WINGS KITS) - Precut vacuum   formed   kits with resin and/or metal  detail parts.
• Pioneer and vintage aircraft (HISTORIC WINGS KITS) - Etched metal kits to capture   the   delicacy of the originals.
• Other subjects  (RUG RAT RESINS KITS) - which are better suited to cast resin construction

• Materials and Construction - We prefer to use vacuum formed 2 mm polystyrene for the  airframes of the large models because we believe it gives a stable structure, combined with relatively low tooling costs. This plastic structure lets the modeller scribe as much panel detail as required, and in some kits scribing templates are supplied.
  Etched metal (brass, nickel silver or stainless steel), cast metal and cast resin is used as appropriate for detail and other parts.
  Decals are usually silk-screen printed, although ink-jet printed decals are sometimes used.
  Detailed instructions are included in every kit.
• Retail and Trade Sales - When the company was founded 20+ years ago, we sold to trade and retail customers alike.
  In 2004 production stopped due to ill health within the family.  When we resumed production,  Hannants of Lowestoft agreed to handle all retail sales, while we now concentrate solely on production. Aircraft In Miniature Limited do however continue to supply trade orders directly.
