B-52 MUNITIONS TRAILER
(BIG BELLY MOD)
Beginning in late 1965, a number of B-52Ds underwent Big Belly modifications
to increase bomb capacity for carpet bombings during the Vietnam war.
This modification installed three bomb clips in the bomb bay and increased the bomb load
of the B-52 o 54,000 lbs. Each munitions trailer was pre-loaded with a bomb clip and towed to the aircraft
where the bomb clip was loaded into the bomb bay.
This is a 1:72 cast metal kit for one B-52 munitions trailer
