XCG-17 Dakota Glider

Conversion Set

In the latter part of World War II, one C-47 was converted into a cargo glider. It was

a successful glider, but it was felt that the aircraft was of greater use as a normal

aircraft and no more were converted to gliders.

The conversion is very simple - a resin fairing replace the engine
on the front of each nacelle and the
towline socket is attached to the belly of the aircraft.

No decal sheet is provided because serials and national markings are readily available.
